what a day we got up early went to bainbridge for breakfast and took the ferry to seattle where we went to the science center to watch cloudy with a chance of meatballs at the imax then to the science center to see what there was to see. then to the space needle for a view of the town ( it was great blue skys everywhere ) then back to the water for dinner at red robin on the water front then we ran back to the ferry to go back home phew .

school days are here again

well we started a new school this year. We are now at sunnyslope in port orchard, the kids are loving it . Even Matt who started kindergarten this year is having fun. The neighborhood we are going to be living in has its own bus there are 74 kids that get on at one stop its CRAZY but the kids love it.

we were able to go the kitsap fair this year. It was so fun for all of us , the kids got to ride lots of rides, Wes ate fair food, and I got to see a rodeo (with the family ofcourse). Are day started early and went very late but there was lots of smile to be had by all

we got our building permit back last week so today we drove by to see if they started and....... we we so excited to see......they have.... maybe soon we will have a time frame of when we can move I might just have to pack a box or two now!

its been a long time

okay well its been so long and there has been so much change. Since my last post life has been busy. We got an offer on our house on Wes' birthday signed papers on the 24th of July. Our move happened on the 19th (thanks mom, uncles and the Millers for all your help). So now we live in Port Orchard where Wes works. For a short time we are in an apartment while we wait for our house to be built (the permit came in today) hopefully we will move into it in December... a great Christmas gift for the whole family.... everyone will have their own room... Wes will have an office and I will still have a shop at home .... for now Ive been doing hair in the apartment though.....I registered the kids for school today all of them WOW......and we have had many trips to the parks and the library (no tv so the kids are doing a lot of reading). I will try and post pictures soon but first we need to get them to the computer.

a fun afternoon with the millers first we went to the olympia santa parade . it turned out to be good weather a little cool but nothing a cup of hot chocolate could take care of. the kids had a good time and then we all went home for dinner and some more visiting .

THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving was great we went to Wes' aunties house in Packwood. It was a great night spent with family. We were able to stay the night, so that evening we watch a movie then the next day we went for a walk to the river its so beautiful there.

Auntie Racheal and her family came over so we decided to frost some cookies. after matt helped to make them. it was a fun night, Aaron was home from school and brought his sax to play we had a concert going on in the living room Colton and Aaron both played sax Biz on the piano and Matt well he play a little drum then the guitar and the piano what a night the talent was great.

MISS SEATTLE

last night my neice was crowned MISS SEATLE this is a journey that she started 2 years ago to get scholorship money for colledge. she competed for MISS AURBURN first and won then MISS WASHINGTON there she won the talent portion, and this year was asked to compete in MISS SEATTLE and she won. Now she again will compete in MISS WASHINGTON. It is so fun to be able to watch and support her she truely is beautiful inside and out. We also will be watching my youngest neice in January as she competes for the first time for her chance at MISS AUBURN. (this is the largest scholorship program of its kind in the states ). and hope to watch then both at MISS WASHINGTON

I have to say my husband is great and I do hope my kids learn from him how to treat their mom ; )

A couple weeks ago he found out that bill Cosby would be in town.... well his mom really likes the Coz so.....he purchased tickets for the 3 of us to go not telling her what was going on I called and asked if she would be availible to watch the kids for us to have a date nigt.... I also called Eileen to really watche the kids and told her that we were going to surprise Wes' mom she was happy to be in on the plan...... so his mom got here first then Eileen got here and I said I must of over booked then Wes gave his mom the ticket he said it would be fun then he told her she was going too it wass GREAT!!!!!! The night was truely wonderful

on our anniversarry Wes' mom watch the kids and they all went to see the alpacas of america. It was quite the outing and the kids came home with lots of things to tell us about and also some alpaca fur. and did you know that alpacas breath is minty fresh just in case you needed to know.

finally after being told by the school and the doctors office and Elizabeth asking many times over I made and appointment for her eyes to be checked........low and behold her eyes are bad......and yes she did need glassed.......such a good mom am I.... so she picked out these oh so cute sponge bob glasses that we will get on saturday for her veiwing convience.... Im sure she will be amazed at what she can see... I know I was when I got my glasses and her perscription is stronger than mine...oops

we went in search of snakes and crickets this afternoon. Kianna was the catcher Matt was the carrier of the jar Biz was the searcher... they were quite the team they had three but one got away

picnic in Seabeck

today we all went to a work picnic with Wes for one of his main accounts in Seabeck (out by the hood canal) it was a beautiful day and the view was great. Matt and biz had fun playing with the dinosaur that one of the boys won in the raffle.
this was the view from where we were at. afterwards Wes took us on a scenic drive through Port Gamble its an old town that has been preserved it was really neat . then we headed homeand on the way we stopped at Red Lobster so Colton could have shrimp one of his favorite foods
and we found out that Matt likes it too he ate most of Wes's dinner too.
it was a great day.
also at the picnic one of the main guys asked for prayer for his niece she is 18 and she is in the hospital and has been for 14day due to a ruptured appendix it is very critical her name is Rachael

today was a big day for colton we went and picked up his saxophone for band. he had to show us how it worked and of course matt was sure he needed an assistant. we will have to see how band goes : }

Today Matt got to finally go to his own soccer practice...He wanted to make sure to be ready on time for practice at 5:30 so he wore his shin guards and cleats to take his sibling to school at 8:10
at practice Matt a first didn't want to get out of the car....but that didn't last long he got right into it.

we had quite the day it started with a garage sale at our good friends the Millers house......where Matt and his buddy Cole practice their skill with the pig skin .....biz kept her friend Abby company while she sold cupcakes and lemon aid ( to buy a new bike) and colton stayed home to help Wes get the house ready to sell.

then when we got home Matt got some more energy out while climbing the tree

and finally biz and Matt helped dad build a fence.....at least that is what they said they were doing ......phew all in a days work

Elizabeth is now 8..... we tried to come up with a plan for her to have a get together with some friends but with it also being the first day of week of school (and me not being a good planner ; {) it didnt work but she is such a trooper we had a play date friday with a friend and the n she spent the day with Abby on saturday. ......She also did get a new bed set which dad pick out and she loves!!!!!!!

Its probably hard to tell how good this is...a customer game me the recipe yesterday for Kahlua cake .......so today I made it .... the first piece went to one of my other customers to whom I have a treat for every Friday.......she loved it.....the rest of the family tried it tonight......it will be gone by tomorrow....to be made again I'm sure...........

school days again

today school started.... matt and I are going to try and do preschool at home so he wanted to start his home work bright and early this morning.

Colton will be in 5th grade this year his teacher is Mrs Johnson and she seems great...she's been teaching for 24years and still loves it and you can tell. ......Elizabeth is now a 2nd grader and her teacher is Mrs Brock and she is very nice too her room is in a portable ( our school is busting at the seams with all the new homes ) so they don't have desks just round tables and biz is the only girl at her table she hoping that will change soon ; } all in all I think it Will be a good start to the new year

......with the blessing of Wes's new job comes change some exciting some ....some scary....some bittersweet.... we have lived in our home for 11years ..longer than Wes and I have ever lived anywhere......lots of memories have been made in this house...but its time to move and we will rest in God knowing He knows what is best for us and our family I pray that whoever buys our home will be as blessed and enjoy it as much as we have...

Wes applied for a sales position in Silverdale so we decided to go check out the area one Saturday.

Wow we all loved it . The town seem to have alot to offer old town (down by the water) was quaint I could spend the day just looking at the shops then there is the mall and of course a costco (we didn't find it though) But we did find a great park with a fun big toy and tree stump to climb.....and when we got tired of that the beach was right there too so we threw some rocks and cooled off......it was a good day.

and we now know.......HE GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

NW Trek

Last month Elizabeth had a field trip to NW Trek. I (Wes) went along and got to chaperon 4 other kids, 4 of the 5 didn't listen very well so it wasn't much different than what I'm used to at home(Elizabeth wasn't the 1 that was obeying either). It was a great time and Elizabeth being one of the older kids in class seems to be big sister type to alot of different kids in the class. ( Maybe its because she can be a little bossy) but seriously she is very motherly and is always concerned for everyone else, its so sweet and I'm joyful that God has made her heart so.

This is my mother , Pat. She is a two time breast cancer survivor. She is one of the strongest women I know. Through all of her struggles she still continues to help and serve others she is always more worried about us than herself. She has taught me alot about life and continues to help make me into the man, father and husband that I need to be. I thank God daily that she is still in our lives and remember how blessed we all are.

Wow, I just went through all the pics on our computer and I dont have anything to post. As I scrolled through the last four seasons and birthday parties and visits to grandparents and time spent with friends I was just thinking how blessed we are with great family and great friends. Its great to create these memories but even better to capture some of these times on pix. So time to charge those batteries and start creating more memories. I cant wait to get back outside. (well to get these kids back outside, anyway.) Hopefully some pix to post soon.

Elizabeth I think had the most fun of all besides me (Dad). She helped frost until all the cookies were done.

I can't remember if we did this last year or not, so, assuming that we did not, we have started a new Christmas Eve tradition this year as you can see. It kept the kids minds off as Matt would say"their birthday presents".
Colton is all for this new tradition and I'm not sure about Matthew?

Yes, Matthew does have a serious, calmer side to him. We are just the only ones who get to witness this and it does not last long.

SNOW !!!

Well we finally got some snow! this was the second snowfall . We wouldnt let the kids play in the first stuff it was way to wet and messy. If your wondering what that red thing is on the giant snowball. It is Matthew wrecking the start of Coltons snowman.
Getting suited up with warm coats, gloves and hats, is just part of the fun there is still hot cocoa to be drank!
So little snow, so little snow men or whatever Biz made.

Tumwater not so falls

Do not pay any attention to the date on the pics theyre wrong. This was the most recent flooding of tumwater valley which caused much devastation in Lewis County. If you have ever been to tumwater falls you can see the enormous change in water flow, even if you never have been I think you can get an idea. The pic on the bottom is of the golf course at the end of our main road which is only two blocks away. No houses were damaged in our neighborhood thanks to the vastness of the valley and our elevation. Gotta admit I was just a tad bit worried though.

To kick of the holidays three very good friends and their mothers( who are also very good friends) went to see the Nutcracker at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Oly. It was a great show, we love the memories that the girls are creating together, and they didnt even wonder why the men didnt have any pants on.

Matt loves to get his grubbies on our digital camera, we never know what we are going to get after he has had it. This last time that I downloaded pictures I only kept 20 of about 75 that were on the camera. I asked Matt if he had gotten ahold of the camera and he said," nuh uh."
